Bisphosphonates/Nutrient Depletion:
  • IronIron: In vitro evidence suggests that iron may decrease absorption of prescription drug bisphosphonates by forming insoluble complexes (16884693). Bisphosphonates include alendronate (Fosamax®), etidronate (Didronel®), risedronate (Actonel®), and tiludronate (Skelid®).
  • PhosphorusPhosphorus: According to secondary sources, bisphosphonates may deplete phosphorus levels.
