Randall has been an Alameda Natural Grocery employee since 2003 and the General Manager since 2005. Prior to working at Alameda Natural Grocery, Randall worked at a number of Internet Companies that no longer exist, and got his feet wet in this industry by working at Whole Foods in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Randall enjoys taking about the importance of independent businesses, growing up in the Midwest and living in Oakland.

Morrigan Grunt

Morrigan has served as the Grocery Manager since the summer of 2005, and has been an Alameda Natural Grocery employee since the summer of 2002. She works with small and large grocery purveyors to bring you a vast selection of unique and healthy product offerings. Morrigan holds a BS in Environmental Sciences from The University of California, Santa Cruz.

She has nearly 40 years experience in the industry, and has been with Alameda Natural Grocery since the very beginning, in fact, when it was still a little health foods store called Health Is down the street. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things natural, and is available 3 days a week to share her wealth of experience and insight with you.

Credit Cards
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Unfortunately, we cannot provide cash back with card transactions. There is an ATM located at the front of the store. If your credit card is not signed, you will be asked to provide a government issued ID.

Personal Checks
All checks must be imprinted with a local address (area codes 510, 415, 925, 650) and must be accompanied by a current government issued ID and a local daytime phone number. If the address on your check or the area code of your phone number does not match the address on your government issued ID, you will be asked to provide a second form of identification.

Traveler's Checks
We do not accept traveler's checks for any amount.

Return Policy
Returns are welcomed, but we cannot allow returns without a receipt. Please hold onto your receipt as proof of purchase.
All Supplement returns must be dealt with by a Supplement department employee.
All refunds under $5.00 will be issued in cash. Refunds over $5.00 for items purchased on a credit card will be credited back to your card.
If you are returning an item purchased with a personal check, we cannot issue a refund for seven days after purchase to allow the check to clear.

Special Orders
We will gladly order any product available to us for you. If it is an item we currently carry, any quantity can be ordered. However, if it is a product that we do not carry, and is not available individually we require that you order by the case. You will be informed when making the order if this will be needed. All case orders are given a 10% discount with the exception of baby foods, formulas and diapers.
